GAME DATE: Oct. 22 vs. Calgary
LOCATION: Calgary, AB – 6:00pm MST

HEADLINES:

The Cougars and Dinos clash in a battle of the only two unbeaten teams in Canada West. Last year the Cougars won the first two contests of the season before dropping the winter semester matchups, including the annual game at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

THE SERIES:

The Cougars and Dinos are dead even in their lifetime series going 7-7-2.

MOUNT ROYAL COUGARS (2-0-0)

The Cougars turned in two strong performances against the Manitoba Bisons in week one. The top line of Cam Maclise, Connor Rankin and Jamie King were exceptional, dominating the play every time they stepped on the ice. Rankin, who played professionally last season, was outstanding racking up three goals and an assist. He is currently fourth in league scoring, despite playing two fewer games than all of those above him.

CALGARY DINOS (2-0-0)

The Dinos earned a pair of back-to-back, 1-0 victories over the UBC Thunderbirds at home last weekend. Steven Stanford stood on his head making 54 saves on 54 shots to earn two shutouts. He is currently the league leader with a perfect 1.000% save percentage. Dryden Dow and Logan Fisher have the team's only two goals through the first weekend of the season.
