THE SERIES:

The Cougars are 9-7-2 against the Dinos in Canada West regular season play. They also hold a strong advantage at the Crowchild Classic Saddledome game where they are 3-0-1.

MOUNT ROYAL COUGARS (15-8-1)

The Cougars and Golden Bears played one of the fastest university hockey games ever on Friday night. The pace of play rivaled professional hockey. However, Alberta did manage to pull off a victory on the road. The next night in Edmonton, the Golden Bears did it again, jumping Mount Royal for second place in the conference. Connor Rankin continues to lead the league in scoring with 31 points (15G, 16A).

CALGARY DINOS (14-9-1)

The Dinos are in fourth place in Canada West and can pass the Cougars with two victories this weekend. The Dinos split a wild weekend in Winnipeg with the Manitoba Bisons. After dropping Saturday night's contest 4-3, the Dinos won a 7-6 matinee thriller on Saturday. Elgin Pearce leads the squad with 24 points (13G, 11) in 24 games this season.
